Connect, Grow, Thrive

ETAS Newsletter

The ETAS Newsletter is a means of keeping members up-to-date with what is happening within the ETAS in relation to Regional events, Special Interest Group happenings, member news, forthcoming Journal publications, other special projects and notifications from the Executive Committee and the National Council. It is also a medium which enables us as a language teaching association to share practical teaching material and links to English language teaching resources with one another.

Job Board

The ETAS job board is a service that we provide to facilitate employment opportunities. It is an extremely cost effective way to find qualified staff or job opportunities all over Switzerland.

COVID Relief Fund

The COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing measures have had a huge impact on teachers' lives and livelihoods. With this in mind, we have set up the following link so that our members can help teachers who have been financially impacted maintain their ETAS membership. Whether you can give CHF10 or CHF100 - each franc can make a difference when pooled together. Without our members, there can be no ETAS. So if you are in a position to contribute, we would be very grateful.

Teaching EFL in Switzerland

This section offers some useful information for new English teachers in Switzerland. It includes tips on qualifications and how to find work, facts about basic health and accident insurance, a quick overview of the Swiss state pension (social security) scheme, and some legal pointers to keep in mind.
