Meet the Vaud coordinator – Sharon Acton

Sharon was born and raised in Southern California and has worked in numerous contexts. She taught high school French and Life Sciences in California before moving to Switzerland in 2001. Once here, she transitioned to EFL, working in the Swiss Public school system, a small private school, and now at the University of Lausanne. Sharon’s teaching focuses on EAP and TOEFL exam prep these days. Her particular strength is classroom dynamics, which comes in handy when running events to help ETAS members connect! For the ETAS Vaud/Fribourg region, Sharon hosts quasi-monthly social-professional (“So-Pro”) apéros in Tibits at Lausanne station. Her loves? Stand-up comedy, card-making, gardening, hanging out with her dog, and participating in the ETAS PUB QUIZ.
