The Saidia Children’s Charity project in Kenya

ETAS’ current Teacher-to-teacher project was launched in February 2024. ETAS member Carol Waites is a long-time supporter of the Saidia Children’s Charity and the Fundraising Coordinator.

Saidia Children’s Charity is a safe haven in Gilgil, Kenya. Children who have been abandoned are given a home and looked after until the age of 18 with the goal of preparing them for independence and encouraging further education. Their main teaching language is English.

You are warmly invited to stop at the t2t stand at the next ETAS event and to contribute to ETAS’ financial support by suggesting fundraising ideas. In addition, there are opportunities to create friendship and connections via the Saidia Penpals programme : students can learn about life in Kenya and develop their communication skills.
