Public transport travel tips

ETAS is consciously making an effort to reduce the eco-footprint of its conferences. To help us make our Professional Development Day conference more sustainable we encourage you to travel by public transport.

To plan your journey, we recommend using the SBB app on your phone or the online timetable and ticket purchase page. If you’re new to rail travel check out the SBB/CFF/FSS supersaver day pass for this one-day event. Visit the SBB/CFF/FSS website to plan your trip: www.sbb.ch

The International School of Berne is a short walk from the Siloah tram stop in Gümligen, which is served by the number 6 tram. From the Siloah tram stop, you’ll see white signs directing you to the school.

Carpooling tips

If you’re unable to travel by public transport, but are interested in carpooling, don’t hesitate to contact a local ETAS member or the Sustainability SIG Ambassador, Sylvia Goetze Wake, at sustainability@e-tas.ch. Travelling together is a great way to save costs, meet new people, and reduce single-car journeys.

Please be aware that parking is limited at the school.

See you on Saturday 2 September 2023!
