Open Position in Zurich

Lecturer in English as a Foreign Language (75-85%)

Part-time position - Starting in August 2018

The Zurich University of Applied Sciences has over 11,200 students and 3,000 employees, and is one of the largest multidisciplinary universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. 

The School of Life Sciences and Facility Management is located in an attractive setting in Wädenswil, which is situated on the Lake of Zurich. Its Department of Foundation Studies in Science, which ensures that students have a solid grounding in the areas of natural sciences, general education and foreign languages, is now looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified professional from 1 August 2018 (or by arrangement) as Lecturer in English as a Foreign Language. 

This challenging position includes 

  • teaching of English as a foreign language (levels B1 – C1) 
  • testing (oral and written) 
  • proof-reading and translation (from German into English) of internal documents


Applicants should be experienced teachers with a Master’s degree. A teaching qualification (e.g. DELTA, Master’s in TESOL) is also required. If you are communicative and flexible, interested in teaching science and facility management students, and work well in a team, we would be pleased to hear from you.
