Academic Content Writer for Kids and Teens

Full-time position - Starting in January 2019

Become part of a team responsible for the creation of innovative new courses for learners of all ages from around the world and enjoy the opportunity to participate in all stages of the development and production process from shaping the concept to creating final materials, whether they’re books, notes, videos, online lessons or apps.

The Role

Be responsible for content development and writing as part of the academic content team, creating new courses and materials mainly for students from 3 ‒ 18 years old.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and writing academic content for printed materials, physical classroom content, online classroom content, teachers’ notes, apps and online self-study to meet project specifications and challenging deadlines.
  • Collaborating with others to come up with novel and engaging ideas for content.
  • Acting on feedback from development and copy editors to improve and enhance produced content.
  • Proactively participating in the entire development process when required.
  • Continuously studying and researching current TESOL best practice and regional language-learning needs.

Qualifications

 

  • TEFL Qualification (CELTA equivalent or above)
  • Native English speaker or equivalent
  • Exceptional standard of written English
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Responsive to feedback and critical input

Experience

  • Four years' ESL/EFL teaching experience with early learners, young learners and teenagers
  • Editing, content writing, and/or media production experience
