Volunteer meeting 24 May 2025
In their ongoing mission to bring added value to ETAS activities and ensure that all members feel satisfied and supported, the Executive Committee (ExCo) invited the National Council members to a half-day brainstorming and teamwork session last Saturday. The goal? To generate actionable ideas that align with our shared objectives and enhance the member experience.
We gathered at 10 a.m. in Olten, where our gracious host Dina—also the Olten Ambassador—kindly arranged meeting rooms through her employer. After a light icebreaker, Katie (the ETAS administrator) presented the latest results from the member satisfaction survey. Using those insights as a springboard, we launched into a collaborative brainstorming session focused on improving the quality and value that ETAS provides to its members.
Then, the regional ambassadors, SIG leaders, and the social media and journal teams also engaged in productive conversations around their specific agendas. These parallel discussions brought out fresh perspectives and valuable suggestions that will contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and vibrancy of ETAS.
The discussions were inspiring and productive, so much so that we have decided to make it an annual event!. We walked away with several promising ideas, which the ExCo team later that day began evaluating and preparing to implement.
Here’s a snapshot of the wonderful ETAS minds who came together to make it happen:

Naturally, no ETAS gathering would be complete without a delicious spread—lunch, cookies (we seriously considered taking Sonja home with us), elderflower syrup (it is the season, after all), and, of course, coffee. We’re still debating what’s more essential: Pamela or Pamela’s coffee!
Keep your eye peeled for some new online events and exciting changes to our face-to-face events.
