Meet the Baden Ambassador

Neera has been living and teaching English in Baden and Zürich for over 20 years. She teaches general English and exam preparation courses (Cambridge FCE, CAE, and IELTS) at various schools such as Academia Languages, KV Business School, WISS Informatik Schule, and The Cambridge Institute. She conducts onsite business English classes at companies such as Siemens. Since acquiring her Diploma in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (DELTA), she has also worked as a Cambridge speaking examiner for Cambridge English Languages in Zürich, Aarau, and St. Gallen. In her free time, she indulges in her passion for theatre and comedy and is part of an English improvised comedy group called “Hoi-Polloi”.

Neera has been the Regional Ambassador for Baden since 2023 and plans to organize quarterly face-to-face and online events in Baden and Zürich. Teaching English as a profession has faced several difficult transitions lately, with the pandemic and now with the advent of AI. She aims to provide a platform where we can, on the one hand, share concerns, tips, strategies, and swap materials, and on the other hand, socialize, rant if needed, and enjoy like-minded company.
