Meet the Cross-cultural SIG leader: Cristiana Urbani
Originally from Italy, Cristiana holds a degree in Languages and a TESOL certificate. She has taught English, Italian, and Russian, and worked as a translator for companies and newspapers. She currently lives in Switzerland, where she works as an intercultural interpreter for the Migration Forum in Visp, supporting communication between migrants and institutions such as schools and hospitals. She also teaches Italian through the Italian Consulate in Geneva. Her experiences have strengthened her passion for cross-cultural communication, and through her role at ETAS, she aims to promote inclusive practices and foster meaningful intercultural dialogue.
