British Council IELTS training day, 6 October 2018 in Bern

This British Council IELTS training day has four workshops. Each workshop focuses on teaching techniques for one of the four main skills in the academic version of IELTS to help students achieve high score bands. The workshops will be practical and concentrate specifically on skills acquisition, rather than a description of exam content, and will give participants tools for integrating exam preparation elements in their English lessons

9-10 November - Bern - Cambridge English introductory seminar SEK I (for Schools Exams)

The Cambridge Introductory Seminar is designed to introduce teachers and principals as effectively as possible to the Cambridge English Examinations and their preparation in combination with Lehrplan 21 in one or two days. The aim of this introductory seminar is that the school and the teachers have the necessary knowledge to successfully prepare their students within the school structure for the Cambridge English exam.

23 November - St Gallen - Best Preparation for Computer-based Cambridge English Exams

Register now for the free teacher workshop in St. Gallen on "Best Preparation for Computer-based Cambridge English Exams".

The workshop will aim to show teachers the advantages of computer-based testing. There will be computers available so that participants will be able to get “hands-on” experience and preparation resources with and for the computer-based (CB) exams.

The presenters will also speak about Testbank which is a Cambridge University Press product and gives students multiple opportunities to practice for the CB exams in practice or test mode.

ELT Academic Reading Group

Every month there is an ELT Academic Reading group held in St. Gallen. The group is free and it’s open to ETAS members and non-ETAS members.
