Workshop: Using digital tools to train career skills in tertiary education

Date: Wednesday 05 April 2023 at 18.00

During the COVID pandemic, teachers and students at universities were challenged to work exclusively online. While communication often suffered due to the lack of physical presence, the situation also expanded our teaching skills by having to incorporate a variety of digital tools into the English language classroom. While most of us are back on campus, those online tools continue to offer a wonderful chance to diversify and complement our teaching. In this workshop, Dr Horn will illustrate how digital tools can be used to strengthen student community and enhance the students’ career skills. He will share examples and demonstrate how teachers can utilize digital tools in their respective classroom settings.
