Teaching TOEFL iBT® Skills Workshop
Are you involved in teaching TOEFL or eager to enhance your knowledge of this important English language test?
The ETAS Testing Special Interest Group is delighted to be hosting a free face-to-face “Teaching TOEFL iBT® Skills Workshop” on Saturday 8th June 2024, from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm, at the University of Lausanne. Leading this workshop will be Dr. Cynthia Werner, an approved ETS trainer and Academic and Government Relations Manager DACH for ETS Global B.V.
Focused on Writing and Speaking, this workshop offers an invaluable opportunity to dive into key areas of the TOEFL iBT test. Attendees will receive a workshop kit that will guide them through stimulating sessions on teaching techniques and activities and help them learn more about the benefits of the TOEFL iBT test. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, fostering connections with peers and gaining access to a dedicated representative available to address queries and gather feedback on the TOEFL iBT test. A follow-up online workshop, looking closely at Reading and Listening, will be organised this autumn.
Dr. Werner brings a wealth of experience to the table, with a background in ELT, school leadership, teacher training management, consultancy in school development and quality, as well as international affairs. She specializes in English language methodology, assessment, and strategic educational development.
While there is no registration fee for this workshop, space is limited. To secure your place, please contact Laura Kennedy at laura.kennedy@e-tas.ch with your name, address, email address, and phone number.
