In an increasingly converging world, the ability to lead, manage and motivate appropriately across cultures will be the defining criteria for being successful in international endeavours whether business, political or social. To overcome the staggering variety of communication styles and facilitate successful outcomes, all parties need to recognize the importance of intercultural communication skills.

Teachers who diversify into this area of training can play an important role in helping  learners increase productivity in cross-border ventures, build stronger trusting relationships with business partners and deliver higher customer satisfaction as well as improving the organization’s competitive standing.

This SIG will provide interested teachers with a platform to develop intercultural awareness and sensitivity and if desired, undertake further training so as to better support their learners in situations of potential conflict ranging from meetings, presentations, sales negotiations or international teambuilding. We would love to hear from our members your views on what content we could have here or training needs.
