Teacher Seminar in Winterthur
Saturday, 5 June 2010

For many teachers the first question that springs to mind in relation to the new ICFE exam is, "Don’t I need to be an accountant to teach Financial English?" And even a cursory glance at the financialenglish.org web site would support this view.

However, that is not really the case and much of the specific language used in the financial world is also in common usage.

The purpose of this seminar and workshop is to give you enough background knowledge to be able to teach an ICFE exam course with confidence.

The main areas that will be covered are:

• Specific financial vocabulary
• Understanding accounts
• Accounting standards (GAAP & IFRS)
• Banking and financial management
• A closer look at the ICFE exam
• Finding and producing teaching material
• Suitable course books

Workshop Presenter: Roger Bourne
Location: Cambridge Examinations Centre, Winterthur
Time: 9.00- 17.00
Included: detailed documentation, free lunch, CHF 20.- voucher for our online shop
