This SIG will give interested teachers the opportunity to learn more as well as share and collaborate on their immersion/CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) experiences.

Eveline Reichel, born in Switzerland, grew up bilingually in India and Persia before graduating in English and French at the University of Zürich.

Qualifications and Experience

Eveline has been an EFL teacher at various Zürich grammar schools, has taught proseminars at the university and trained secondary school teachers in EFL. She has set up a methodology course for immersion teachers at Swiss grammar schools and which is now offered at the IGB, the Institut für Gymnasial- und Berufspädagogik at the University of Zürich.

Special Interest Areas

As a dedicated EFL teacher with ample teaching experience and a mother of four adult children, Eveline is especially interested of all kinds of ways to acquire first and second languages. As practice makes (almost) perfect, she believes the more we are immersed in a language the better!
