Ann has been teaching EFL in Switzerland since 1979 and has been a member of ETAS since the mid-eighties. She has taught in a variety of situations and now works at Lausanne University and the University of Applied Sciences in Yverdon. She has a degree in English and French from Southampton University (UK), an RSA Dip. and a Masters in Education from Manchester University. Her previous positions in ETAS were: Lausanne RC, for many years, and National Events Chair, for four years. |
John Raggett

After a 40-year career in, amongst other things, hotel, insurance broking and medical facilities management, seasoned with seven years working as a police officer, mostly in the field of criminal fraud investigation, John moved to Switzerland in 2006. He has been an ETAS member since then. He is the former Chairman of the Editorial Board and Editor of the ETAS Journals. He was also a LOC member for the 2010 AGM in Biel/Bienne. Currently working part-time as a self-employed tutor of ESP.

Amy has an American passport, but often feels more like a nomad having lived in 3 countries since she left the States more than 16 years ago. She served on the ETAS Committee as treasurer for 4 years before she became President.

Cindy Hauert

Cindy Hauert was born in the United States and grew up in Denver, Colorado. After completing a B.A., she joined an executive training programme at Macy’s in New York City and became a buyer for the cosmetics department. This business experience proved to be very useful later in her Business English teaching career.

Kathy Hatch
Kathy was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. Always an avid reader, she studied English Literature at college and her favorite authors include Charles Dickens and Jane Austen. After years of office work, helping others keeping their offices running smoothly, she moved to Switzerland with her husband in December, 2000.

Hazel Trepp

Hazel was born and grew up in Dublin, Ireland before moving to Canada when she was 17. She studied sociology at York University in Canada with one year at a British university. As part of her world tour, she has lived in Geneva, Melbourne, Tokyo and Luxembourg before settling in Baselland with her family. After years of learning foreign languages, she got coaxed into teaching EFL.

Stephanie is a British citizen. She has over 16 years teaching experience to every level, in a wide range of situations in 6 different countries. As well as being DELTA qualified Steph is an accredited CELTA trainer, having trained at The English Language Centre York. UK. and is embarking on a MA in Applied Linguistics and English Language teaching with Nottingham University UK. Steph works at academia school Basel as a teacher trainer and teaches at academia International school Basel. She also works partly in Zurich at Hull's school sharing the role of academic manager. Steph is a member of IATEFL Teacher Training SIG. |
